The International Solar Alliance (ISA) Secretariat invites applications for the ISA Solar Fellowship 2026 (8th Batch) under its Solar Fellowship Scheme for Mid-Career Professionals.  Eligibility under the Fellowship Scheme extends to:

  • ISA Member Countries (States that have deposited their instrument of ratification, acceptance, approval, or accession to the ISA Framework Agreement);
  • Signatory Countries (States that have signed the ISA Framework Agreement and are in the process of completing their domestic ratification procedures); and
  • Prospective Member Countries (States that have neither signed nor ratified the ISA Framework Agreement but remain eligible to accede thereto).

Each such State may nominate up to two candidates (one male and one female) under the Scheme.

The fellowship provides an opportunity for eligible candidates to pursue a two-year M.Tech programme in Renewable Energy Technologies and Management (ESR) at the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Delhi, India.

  • Duration: 2 Years
  • Commencement: 23 July 2026
  • Medium of Instruction: English

  • Fellowship Support

Selected candidates will receive sponsorship from ISA, including:

    • Tuition fees (approx. USD 4500)
    • Monthly stipend of USD 750 (up to 24 months)
  • Economy class international airfare (most direct route)

Note: Health insurance is to be arranged by the candidate.

  • Eligibility Criteria

Age Limit:

  • Up to 45 years for applicants

Educational Qualifications:

  • A 4-year Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in relevant engineering disciplines such as Chemical, Electrical, Electronics, Mechanical, Energy, Power Engineering, or Engineering Physics
    OR
  • A Master’s degree in Physics, Electronics, or Applied Physics

Minimum 60% aggregate marks or CGPA of 6.0 on a 10-point scale.

Experience: Minimum 3 years of relevant professional experience.
