Mr Anil Nautiyal joined as Ambassador on 24.02.25.

Mr. Anil Nautiyal is a career diplomat with over 3.5 decades of service in the Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) of the Government of India. During this period, he has held various key positions while posted at the MEA Headquarters and at Indian Missions and Posts abroad in Bangladesh, France, Qatar, Saudi Arabia (2 stints) and the United Kingdom. Mr Nautiyal is thus equipped with diverse experience in diplomacy, including discharge of leadership roles in implementing several groundbreaking initiatives of the Government of India.

Before his appointment as Ambassador, Mr Nautiyal was holding the post of Joint Secretary & Chief Liaison Officer, South Asian University, Delhi, which was built by India with an aim to not only provide top-notch education but also serve as a catalyst for regional cooperation and development.

Mr. Nautiyal holds a postgraduate degree and is proficient in Hindi & English. He is married and the couple has two grown up/independent children.
